The workshops will take place at the Loon Lake Lodge & Retreat Centre in Maple Ridge located one hour’s drive east of Vancouver. The LLL&RC is a unique year round facility situated in the University of British Columbia Malcolm Knapp Research Forest with the Golden Ears Park to the east, Pitt Lake to the west, and the extensive areas of crown land to the north; this setting is an extensive wilderness.
Originally built in 1949 to house the University of British Columbia Facility of Forestry field destination, Loon Lake is now a state of the art facility with a long tradition of providing learning opportunities for environmental education.
